Ingleton is a small but active village with a population of around 400.
It has a sucessful Church of England Primary School , St. John's Church, and Methodist Chapel, local public house, the Black Horse, and modern village hall.
A mobile post office van makes regular visits to the village. The village hall, built in 2000, is managed by Ingleton and District Community Association and hosts a range of activities including an annual summer fayre.
The Community Association publishes a monthly news-sheet, The Parish Pump, which gives full details of planned activities, events and other local news.
